Launched in 2018, Territoires d'Industrie is a national program for reinvigorate France’s industrial sector. It has resulted the official recognition of 189 areas of the countries as industry friendly "Territoires d’Industries" and the mobilization of €8.2 billion in public and private investment for the development of industrial projects across the country. Following the success of the first phase of the program (2018-2022), the second phase (2023-2027) will continue to support and enhance the industrial presence across the country.

In the South of France, eight official "Territoires d’Industries" have been certified for special industrial support:

• Aix-Marseille-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône),
• Dracénie a,d Pays de Fayence (Var),
• Grasse, Cannes and Sophia-Antipolis (Alpes-Maritimes),
• Hautes-Alpes,
• Nice Côte d’Azur et Riviera Française (Alpes-Maritimes),
• Toulon Provence Méditerranée (Var),
• Durance Valley (Alpes de Haute-Provence)
• Avignon area (Vaucluse)

The Region Sud has identified eight key sectors of activity in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and has launched the OIR strategic sector program to give them competitive advantages and boost their innovation, growth, and job creation potential. An elected regional official and a business leader co-chair each of the eight strategic sector programs. They bring together public and private stakeholders who work together to identify and support high-impact companies and projects for the sector.

Within the framework of the OIR strategic sector program, risingSUD's experts provide customized engineering services to strengthen all aspects of a project: legal structuring, economic modeling, business plans, etc. This expertise has already facilitated the acceleration of 162 major projects across the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region.

Every year, risingSUD organizes two special financing committees on behalf of Region Sud. These comittees are meant to connect companies active in the region’s strategic sectors with both public and private investors (banks, business angels, foundations, investment funds) so they can move ahead with major projects or expansions.

 
These day long events are called “CoFIs” and they include:

1. A "project" sequence where leaders from companies with major  projects for the region’s strategic sectors make pitches to both local and national financial backers.
2. A "business" sequence where representatives of regional companies in the process of raising funds present their business plans to private investors to convince them to invest.
