risingSUD welcomes ten of the world’s most influential women to the South of France

From July 3 to 6, risingSUD hosted a delegation of Young Global Leaders as part of the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix economic conference. The Young Global Leaders is an influential network created by the World Economic Forum organisation and is comprised of emblematic international figures who are committed to taking concrete action to improve our future in terms of both economic opportunities and social good.

By welcoming the Young Global Leaders delegation, risingSUD had two main goals: to promote the image and major economic advantages of the South of France to these key international figures to attract future investment and to foster global partnerships for companies based in Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The delegation featured some of the world’s most dynamic women, including Muna ABUSULAYMAN (Saudi Arabia), Malak AL AKIELY (Jordan), Fatoumata BÂ (Senegal), Sahar ALBAZAR (Egypt), Silvia CONSOLE BATTILANA (United States), Anne-Laure de CHAMMARD (Germany), So-Young KANG (Korea), Ling GE (China), Susannah ROGERS (United Kingdom), and Enass ABO-HAMED (United Kingdom). They were joined by Olivier OULLIER, CEO of Inclusive Brain, and Mathieu FLAMINI, CEO of GFBiochemicals, two other Young Global Leaders who, after starting out internationally, have chosen to develop their businesses in the South of France with the support of the Region Sud.

The four-day programme included meetings with inspirational figures from the regional economic and institutional landscapeas well as achance to discover the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur territory. Among the featured events was a discussion with Renaud MUSELIER, the President of the Region Sud and the Deputy President of Régions de France; a pitch session with entrepreneurs from Phare, the CMA-CGM Foundation’s social incubator; a meeting with the Olympique de Marseille’s 13èmeHomme foundation; a visit to the Mucem; and participation in the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix economic forum.
